We’re always keen for more people to join us at Huddersfield Repair Cafe. No matter what your expertise is, there’s lots to do to keep the Repair Cafe running smoothly.

FIXERS

Fixers are the people who repair the items that visitors bring in to the Repair Cafe.

We get a wide range of items, from kitchen appliances and laptops to teddy bears and garden chairs, so we’re always on the lookout for people with different skills.

FRONT OF HOUSE

The Repair Cafe couldn’t run without our helpers; the people who run the “front of house”.

So even if you aren’t a fixer, there are still ways volunteer at the Repair Cafe.

Helpers greet visitors when they arrive, help them with a bit of paperwork, take details of the items in need of repair, and assign them to a fixer with the right skills. It’s an absolutely essential aspect of a well-run Repair Cafe
